The radio silence was not expected but it happened.
In the space of three weeks, my father-in-law died, my mother-in-law had a major stroke, and we moved apartments. Oh yeah, my birthday fell into that maelstrom as well, celebrating another trip around the sun, crying amongst moving boxes.
Suffice to say, I have been overwhelmed. I have been tired. I have been exhausted. My depression which is always there looming, decided to make a hit-you-over-the-head appearance, which was difficult as well.
I have slowly been putting myself back together again, as I always do. It is hard though.
My father-in-law has been laid to rest. I know he is in heaven making everyone laugh.
My mother-in-law is continuing to make strides in her recovery but she still has aways to go, as most stroke victims do.
We are enjoying the bit of extra square footage our new apartment has given us. My girls have more room to roam, to play, to giggle and love, and that is all that matters.
I hope to be back to a regular blogging schedule once my oldest is out of school and all of the end-of-the-year activities reach their subsequent end.
Thank you dear readers for still continuing to be here for me 🙂
