It has been a busy few weeks over here in my neck of the woods. Lots of decluttering, packing, moving, and unpacking. Suffice to say, I am exhausted but we are finally in our new place! Also for the record, the older you get, the more recovery time you need from all the moving 😀
My family and I are really enjoying our new space. We have windows on different sides of the apartment which you know if you have ever lived that apartment life, you know how much natural light makes such a difference! You don’t want to feel like you are living in a cave, you know what I mean? It is very light and bright, for which I am very thankful.
If you read my last post, you know the reasons why we had to move and make this big change in our lives. We are working on getting my dad’s room ready and acclimated for him. My oldest daughter is happy that her grandpa is moving in with us. My youngest daughter doesn’t understand what is going on in that sense, but she loves her grandpa and I know will be super excited to see him everyday when it happens.
I am excited to decorate this space and make it our own, but I am moving slowly this time around. I am really into “less is more” and not wanting the space to feel cramped or overwhelming. I am a minimalist myself, but when you live with other people who do not subscribe to that philosophy, it can make things, well… interesting. I want the space to feel nice and open but also welcoming. I have pinned some ideas on Pinterest and just trying to figure out what works best. I am a Taurus and we are very much about our homes so this is a fun thing for me as well as just part of my nature 😉
Do you have a Pinterest account? Do you pin pretty pictures of stuff too? 🙂 Let me know!

My husband is also a Taurus. Once we found a description that says Taurus is “stubborn and desires comfort” and oh goodness it all just clicked together in the funniest way!
Congratulations on the new, sunny apartment!

Oh my gosh, that description of a Taurus is so accurate, ha! 🙂
Thank you! We are enjoying it 🙂
