Made some gluten-free oat cookies courtesy of Deliciously Ella and her wonderful cookbooks.
Instead of doing a full-on expensive family vacation, we decided this summer that we would just visit different beaches and have lunch and do a spot of sight-seeing. Staycation, maybe? Not sure the correct terminology, but that is what we have been doing and it is our “family day”. Here is a photo from our day in San Clemente.

I love this green tea and what I love most about it is it is good and flavorful whether you drink it hot right out of the kettle, or have it as an iced beverage. So delicious!

You most definitely a SoCal girl with your Chucks, white t-shirt and jeans uniform! 😀 One of my best friends is a huge, huge Converse fan too. Me, I’m a flip-flop girl. My toes demand FREEDOM! I love that your family is visiting all the local beaches – that’s such a good idea. Pee Wee Herman – oh man. Yeah, we give kids a hard time but we were exactly the same at their age, watching stupid stuff, wearing stupid clothes and just generally being stupid. Such good times! Have a great weekend!
Oh and I really need to check out Ella’s cookbooks. I’m not going gluten-free but I’d like to cut back on gluten to be eaten more occasionally than … errr … extreme eating. 😀

Visiting all the beaches has been fun. We are definitely lucky here in Southern California! Ella’s cookbooks are good for healthy eating especially if you have a sweet tooth, because she makes desserts super healthy!
San Clemente!! Love that area. There is so much to see and do in California that even natives can exlpore new places or their favorite places.
