Sometimes when there is lot going on in the world, it is easy to get down and get distracted with everything that is happening or about to happen. Although it is easy to get upset and get mired down, I try to stay in the present and try to be thankful of what I have and grateful for the blessings that I enjoy.
My gratitude list for today:
- I am thankful for my beautiful daughter and my wonderful husband.
- I am thankful for my cat who knows when I need kitty cuddles.
- I am thankful for my church and every Sunday feels like a blessing.
- I am thankful for the season of fall which ushers in cooler temperatures, football, and pumpkin spice lattes! 😉
- I am thankful for the blogging community and the sharing and encouraging that we do.
- I am thankful for IRL friends and the laughter that never seems to stop 🙂
- I am thankful for our country and the beautiful ocean so near to my heart.
- I am thankful for you dear readers, who stop by and read my words. ♥
I want to know. What are you guys thankful for?

A great reminder that there is always something (and usually a lot of things) to be thankful for in our lives.

Gratitude – it can’t be over-promoted : ) I have come to realize how grateful I am for physical health. I’m at an age (53) when some people start to face serious health challenges. I want to do all I can to hold on to the health I’m blessed to have.

Totally agree with you! Health is so important and something I certainly don’t take for granted.
Blessings to you, my friend!

Mackenzie, this is just beautiful. We all have much to be thankful for if we’re willing to pause life and look around a little. I am thankful for my family, IRL and Internet friends, and the ability to choose my religion in this great country. I also find myself being thankful lots for food to eat and clean water to drink, both of which come with very little effort on my part. Thanks for sharing!
Mackenzie @organicbutterflyblog says
Aw, thanks Laurie!
I love all the things that you are thankful for 🙂

Gratitude is so important. I try to be grateful every day but I especially turn to it when I’m feeling blue. There is so much to be grateful for. For me, it’s my family and friends. A mischief-making feline named Max. Being able to wear flip-flops year-round. My health. Freedom. A nice, safe home. A full belly. Books!
Mackenzie @organicbutterflyblog says
Yay for books and cats!! Woo hoo 🙂 We definitely have much to be grateful for!

I would be thankful for the cooler weather, but I don’t think that’s going to be today. 99! whew! But I’m thankful for my portable air conditioner! I’m grateful I have meaningful work in my life!
Mackenzie @organicbutterflyblog says
Oh my gosh, this weather is awful! It wasn’t even this hot during the summer 🙁 I am also thankful for air conditioning!
